0:08
thank you hey everybody welcome back to another episode of Uncorked live we're so glad
0:14
you're here it's February month of love you're thinking about it and we're
0:20
talking about it so stay tuned Uncorked live with Karen Glasser and Mel Greenberg making the most of life's Peak
0:27
stage and sharing it all with you
0:33
so Mel what are you drinking today I have a cosmo you know it's pink special I don't know it felt like love
0:40
yeah and I'm doing a Sea Breeze mine is also pink but mine is cranberry juice vodka and lemonade very nice refreshing
0:50
yeah delicious cheers so we mentioned at the beginning of the
0:57
show that we're It's All About Love Today and all the different ways you say that
1:02
and only two ways that it shows up if we look right we just have to look for it
1:07
sometimes we're not looking for it I know yeah you know you just said if it shows up if we look and if we let it if
1:13
we kind of if we open our hearts and and let it be and come to us in all it's it
1:19
beautiful iterations sometimes not so beautiful but it's there it's there for us in our animals and our passions in
1:26
life and the work that we do in our relationships and things change as we get older you know and as we as we move
1:33
through different changes in life how we approach our relationships changes as well right you know it might not be as
1:41
much physical as it used to be it might be more mental more spiritual or you might have a healthy balance of all of it I don't know right there are so many
1:49
questions and I think that that it it gets more complicated only if we let all
1:54
the noise get in our head because if if you kind and that goes back to self-love
2:01
if you take care of yourself right and you honor who you are and those changes
2:06
that inevitably come I mean we're a little droopy or here a little plumper there a little less energy maybe a
2:13
little less want maybe a little more if we honor all of those things they can
2:18
they can kind of Bloom and and grow with us right and I I think that one of the
2:24
things that we as women maybe it's meant to but I can only speak for myself I'm a
2:29
woman we forget the self-love right we forget to love ourselves we're so busy worrying
2:36
about loving everybody else and taking care of everybody else the care of every we forget to take care of ourselves and
2:43
I think the club is probably number should be number one on the list it's not I think it's not and I think
2:49
relationships the most important relationships in our lives whatever they
2:54
may be tend to more easily be taken for
2:59
granted because you just assume that that depth and that scope of relationship is always going to stay the
3:04
same and it's not you know I mean it's true The Grass Is Always Green as to where you water it I love that saying
3:10
and just that concept attention give give your love and your life and your
3:15
self attention and we when we were preparing for this episode and thinking
3:22
about all the different impacts love makes in our lives we actually reached
3:28
out to some incredible women and men and got some beautiful input and we're
3:34
talking to the experts here and we're really happy to to bring them on now right so take a listen we're so excited
3:40
we actually this month to really carry this point home we've brought in some experts in this field and they're going
3:46
to answer some questions they're going to talk to you and share some really wonderful news with you we have some
3:52
great talent with us today Mel I'd like to introduce test Cacciatore she's a multimedia interactive creator and
3:58
producer with 25 plus years in the entertainment technology and philanthropic Arenas and she's also the
4:04
founder and CEO of Gwen Global we also have tarot Bennett Smith with us she's enjoyed a rich and multi-faceted career
4:12
in the entertainment industry having worked as a director producer actress singer songwriter screenwriter and
4:18
manager together they are the women behind the right turn you know they got
4:24
tired of waiting for that seat at the table and so as they say they built their own table they pulled up two
4:29
chairs they went to work and so without further Ado we welcome tareness to the
4:35
show hey guys hello hi welcome thank you so much for having us on your
4:41
show yes we're so excited to be chatting it up oh I am so excited to have you here we both are and two and this month
4:48
especially both with the launch of your new project and we're going to learn about that and also
4:55
based on that project to really talk about love and what it looks like now
5:01
and how we're kind of redefining it at I mean I think every generation is figuring out its way anymore with the
5:07
swipe right swipe left but what does it mean and how can we go forward and so
5:12
we're really really excited to have you weigh in on all of that with us for our community thank you and you guys I know
5:19
there's a story behind the name you changed the name so what's the reason behind the right turn I love the name
5:26
so originally it was called tiramisu or La joche Vitae because it was done as a
5:32
smaller project in 2015 then we got she was the star of of this short film that I was doing and then we got it together
5:38
in 2018 and we called it my sweet life which is the definition of La Dolce
5:44
Vitae and then there was another show out there um that came out right about the time we were launching yeah Sweet Life and
5:50
people were going oh your show's out and we said okay that's not gonna work and then when we changed it Tess came up
5:57
with a great idea she said what about the right turns but with the w because the character's name is Celeste Wright
6:02
Turner she's a publicist and her PR firm is
6:09
called the right turn when you come here you're making the right turn to get your life together and then it just fell together that we all are at the
6:16
crossroads of the right turns in our life and in topic and in line with your topic today of love one of our special
6:22
messages is really about self-love we feel like if we can get all to the place where we have unconditional self-love
6:28
for ourselves then all the other Beautiful Things fall into place yeah that's wonderful I love that I'm
6:34
wondering because I love the in the intro how Karen shared that you said you
6:39
know you built your own table you pulled up your own seats and watching the Golden Globes last week I was really
6:46
heartwarmed to see so many women over the age of 50 and I think really over
6:52
the age of 60 acknowledged for their work and did did was part of that
6:57
driving you like at our stage in life you know you are going to get this done you've waited for anyone else to say yes
7:04
they don't say yes so you did that kind of drive you was that a strong force for you to keep going absolutely
7:15
this was something that became our passion project that this is like leading into the next chapter we use
7:22
chapter as our defining division of different parts of the season because it is a chapter in life and we get to
7:28
really explore where we've come from and where we're at presently and where we're going as individual women and all also
7:35
together and as you know as someone who is a mom um test has you know she's a
7:40
mom to many but one who's both three children you know there's elements of losing oneself even though you you keep
7:48
doing you you know that you become you know Johnny Michael Peter's mom you
7:53
become such his husband and you can such as such as a job and although you're doing all of them because as women we
7:59
all multitaskers and we can do you know cook the cook the dinner write the script and comb the hair all at the same
8:04
time but within that that leaves just a little bit of room for you figuring out who you are where you are and then when
8:11
everybody leaves it's like whoa okay now I'm back to me trying to figure it out
8:16
and we also interviewed a lot of women you know on the dating relationships and
8:22
love and and at a certain age you know we found that a lot of women were not even having intimacy you know there was
8:29
no sexual activity happening at all for years and but then what happens to the
8:34
body because you go through menopause but you don't know that when you get back in the saddle it's going to be very different because your body is shifted
8:41
but nobody talks about that and and as well not just for women but also for men yeah Aaron will talk about his character
8:46
you know when we sat down with him we asked him something that he's always wanted to portray what he want to get out and he talked about mental illness
8:52
you know especially in the African-American Community amongst men but we cover social issues and they're
8:59
all really based on real real life and their real stories so one of the things that Uncorked does every every um show
9:06
that we do every month is we ask our community some questions so that we can
9:12
hopefully get um the conversation going and and you were already talking about
9:17
something that was one of the questions so I'm just going to throw it out one of the questions that somebody sent into US was I'm 66 I'm recently divorced I can't
9:26
even picture myself in love again how do I step out so what would you tell her well for me
9:33
you know because I'm kind of in that same vein you know of recently divorced and the what I've learned is that I'm
9:41
not trying to be in love with anyone I'm trying to be in love with myself beautiful and learning to be fall in
9:47
love with me again well then that other stuff will take care of itself but it's really about falling in love with myself
9:53
you know so that on Valentine's Day or this next month when it comes up and you're alone you don't feel alone
9:59
because you found ways to nurture and love upon who you are and then if
10:04
someone comes in they just add to that but it's not they are not the thing that makes that you know yeah we can't look
10:11
for love outside basically and and hopefully the men that we will be attracting or whatever you know sexual
10:18
orientation you are that they have also done their self-love work too so then you come together as they see equally
10:24
yoked and you have a really healthy relationship so I tell your your viewer that has that question fall in love with
10:31
yourself and get get going out there and on the other side of the question so you
10:37
know this is a different part of it that says my partner and I have been together forever
10:42
how do we keep it exciting the other side of the coin well you know
10:48
um I I don't know what they do or don't do to keep you but I think it always
10:53
falls back to self yeah you know we always looking outside for something to
10:59
shift so that that thing will shift but if we keep shifting in ourselves and keeps growing if I keep growing and my
11:05
partner keeps growing we will grow together and there'll be new things to discover about each other right looking
11:11
outside going well if we could just do this this will be exciting but if I can do this if I can change up my hair or
11:18
change of how I feel about me there's going to be something new to discuss and discover I think for me that would be my
11:25
way to go yeah either when you're doing that self-change and that self-expiration and if your partner
11:30
isn't really paying attention to their own life then you all of a sudden become the teeter-totter that's out of balance
11:36
so it really takes both Partners to really get in balance with themselves so that they're on the even teeter-totter
11:43
and then you inspire each other you know and then you keep going well I think too when especially if
11:50
you've been together a long time and if you have children those children go off and live their lives and move along it's
11:57
about reconnecting and almost beginning it's an opportunity if you can to begin a new relationship within the existing
12:04
one and it does come from finding out who you are and really being happy with who you are and then presenting that
12:11
person to your partner exactly exactly yeah it takes a lot of security within
12:17
yourself which is important for the self-love part because if one partner super exceeds and starts growing and
12:24
growing and growing and the other one feels uh left behind there could start creating some conflict so I think it's
12:31
really important to stay communicating going on dates keep your fresh relationship well also something you
12:36
said too about being content and self and caring and loving yourself that you
12:41
know there's there's a barrage of information and thoughts thrown out I
12:46
think women more than men although the men coming on might disagree that you have to look this way or you're gonna
12:52
this is gonna happen so in addition to all those other insecurities that come with aging it's like when you if you
12:58
were out there to start dating against like do I look the part am I going you know how am I gonna go forward you
13:04
really have to find joy and love within yourself before you even get out there
13:09
on that road absolutely absolutely and what I've talked about with a lot of a lot of women is that there's people in
13:15
certain age categories that are age appropriate to date but uh from the men to women perspective a lot of the men in
13:24
age appropriate for our category they tend to want to date much younger yeah so you know there's
13:32
one truth be told I know most women in that category want to date much yet good too yeah
13:38
I'm kind of flipping a little bit now because you know women uh kind of got a
13:43
little bit out there yeah yeah men are kind of getting a little more well you know they ain't working too well this
13:49
week guys in the next segment we have
13:54
something really exciting but first now don't we have something from our sponsor I think me too we'll be right back

14:45
guys did for this show is a music video and I have to tell you I play this
14:50
regularly now I want to get up and dance and I think I'm gonna dance right now so stay tuned take a listen to the music
16:15
that's what's up [Music]
17:30
when you're feeling down there's no one around you better look inside you really need you gotta believe it's a
17:38
peace of mind read myself [Music]
18:29
from all the characters in the show Tara did you write the lyrics in the music
18:34
well actually Tisha Campbell uh and her team uh created the song I wrote part of
18:40
it I didn't write the whole thing the team was really really great about sitting down with us and finding out
18:46
what is the Arc of the story within the lyrics and what do we want to have be the like one of our main Anthem songs
18:53
for the series they did an amazing job but it was really about empowering us
18:58
you know and get in there jump don't be afraid I don't care what they say just you know I don't care if you're 50 40 30
19:04
20 when they tell you no find another way support each other you know lock in like you two now have your business
19:10
together you have your show just do it you know right that's what it was about and it makes you want to get up and just
19:16
go okay yes that's what it was about and that's when you get that from there you walk like I'm still it's in my head yeah
19:21
right but it's awesome yeah but you guys couldn't see is I can
19:27
see everyone in the green room and I to a person everybody was moving in there yeah
19:34
because we've been hustling test and I I was like well and it's really good great it's
19:40
great you got nominated for this song in the Hollywood music and media Awards under the TV yeah so what we'd like you
19:47
to do right now is introduce your cast okay yes so let's start off with Michael Dyer who plays Maxwell Junior I mean
19:54
Maxwell senior he plays and he's very handsome and all the
19:59
ladies every time I do a post they're texting me going okay bam oh thank you
20:07
we also have Aaron Braxton who plays my brother Cecil
20:15
we also have a Beijing she just came to me
20:31
I mean so this is some of our cast members
20:38
um Babette Shepherd plays herself she's a client my my character is a publicist
20:43
so we have real people playing themselves tests actually plays test Cacciatore so I thought it would be fun
20:51
um because one of the things you did is you sat down with the entire cast and you asked them to tell you what did they
20:58
not what were they not able to do because they couldn't find the right vehicle or they were turned down why do
21:04
we find out from the cast maybe they can tell us Mike no Mike and I did not sit down I said I need a husband come on
21:10
he's playing around Mike and I want another series together and did another we just have such great
21:16
chemistry because like I need a really good looking tall guy that women would
21:21
go you sure you want to let him go I don't care I don't care what he did grab him girl hold on think again
21:28
so you want to ask Mike what his storyline is should we ask him so what
21:34
is your story align about Mike it's about a husband who um
21:40
been married for a long time and he's in love with his wife and his family but over the period of time just being in
21:47
that same relationship and I you know I don't I guess it's like
21:52
you you get used to something so you know to the point is you get used to it until you start taking it for granted
21:59
and you start looking for something else um it's it's like um
22:06
it's like you get those brand new shoes I hate to compare it to shoes but like how you want those brand new shoes so
22:12
bad once you get those shoes you wear them you wear them you know another while you're like you know what hmm you
22:18
see some more shoes over there like okay I don't get these here now now I know that's kind of making it small but it's
22:25
that feeling of getting used to something not realizing the pair of shoes you have was doing the work it was
22:30
getting the job done but uh it was the human being wants to experience something else something more and my
22:38
character has insecurities and it says Securities may have started looking well for
22:44
something else and not blaming it on the woman but on the fact is I wasn't my
22:49
character wasn't feeling like he was enough and he was getting validation for something that
22:55
something someone younger someone who's prettier we won't say prettier but I'm just gonna
23:01
say you know from from you know I'm sort of my cat that's my character it's not me though it's my pleasure
23:08
you know what's interesting Michael you're talking about things that normally we hear women say I'm not
23:13
enough and it's it's actually really refreshing to hear a male character also
23:20
say the same thing because we're not alone we're all basically the same right yeah that's true we all have that same thing too it's it typically our issues
23:28
if you will come down to Ego and you're saying your character insecurities so
23:34
you needed to fill that ego and get you know find your new shiny penny even though you realize that that's not going
23:41
to sustain you either right it wasn't worth it yeah so Aaron what's your
23:47
storyline in there so uh Tara and I and uh
23:54
uh tests we sat down and and she asked me what what were some issues that I
24:00
would like to address and I I thought about mental health in in the
24:06
African-American Community because they're so there's so much pain there's
24:11
so much hurt going on in our community and unfortunately we don't seek help
24:16
because we think seeking help uh with a therapist is uh something that white
24:23
folks do and that we can normally either take it to Jesus Take It to the pastor
24:30
or say and not realizing that if we're having suffering from mental
24:37
health issues going to a pastor although can be beneficial a lot of times they're
24:43
not professionally trained to deal with the psychological traumas that we're going through
24:48
so um in talking with with Tara and Tess
24:54
about this we came up with the fact that my character is an artist and so he's
24:59
very very sensitive to things around him and he's suffering for this traumatic
25:05
event that happens in his life and uh he's he's self-medicating with weed and
25:12
and and and you know alcohol and then comes the issues with his family and his
25:19
marriage and uh so that's what we're dealing with with my character and I you
25:24
know and I find it really important I I really commend testing Terror for taking
25:30
on this issue because it's it's something that's really important in our community I mean in the show are you you
25:36
are related yes yes I play I play her brother I guess I
25:43
wasn't good looking enough to play her husband to be at a relative person
25:53
that was a good save test it's true no it's true well so then we
26:02
just feel more like brother and sister yeah yeah but in the show so then you're going through uh Terror your own
26:09
difficulties and also now helping your brother or coming to terms with him and
26:15
what he's going through and I that's a beautiful relationship opportunity to
26:20
explore there okay through the two of you too yeah and it's also you know as a
26:25
woman how we tend to want to fix everybody thank God yeah you know and and that's that's part of part of your
26:32
character that's part of my characters like she's trying to not you know she has a breakdown at one point when she's
26:37
talking her brother about why you you're not here to make sure everyone's okay you know and that's part of my life
26:43
that's part of what I went through you know so it became very real to me you know that this is not my journey it's
26:50
not to make sure everyone else in my life is good as a manager I took that on you know what I mean was that part of
26:56
the issue or what ultimately became an issue between you and Michael your
27:02
character your Maxwell well no not technically I'm sure that was in there somewhere but you know
27:08
um his was obviously uh infidelity we learned that very early on so it's not like that's a secret
27:15
um but you know they were College sweethearts and she didn't know anyone else she didn't know anything else but him you know so that's devastating when
27:21
you have no other experiences and then one person that you fell in love with is like what do you mean I'm not good
27:27
enough you know yeah yeah so Sylvia
27:32
what is your storyline what is your actual Arc in the right turn
27:37
well it's interesting and I'm gonna I'm gonna lean into you guys for this uh testing and Tara
27:44
she knows me in the different names so Tess and Tara I'm gonna lean into you
27:49
for this because my character her character Arc is not um but it's when you meet her you're
27:56
gonna meet her at a certain place in um in Celeste life and so her her part
28:03
of the story really centers more around what's going on in Celeste light at the celeste's life say that three times fast
28:11
celeste's wife but and her sort of job as cheerleader prodder girl get your
28:17
behind out there and do something blah blah blah that's kind of her thing so in terms of her the personal story arc we
28:23
don't find that out until later so right now she's the cousin who who probably
28:29
has you know I won't call it a dark side but you know and and she also has a
28:35
little family secret that is revealed that I don't know he still doesn't know
28:41
about and right because that one part of the storyline just so you know um it was
28:46
going to be Cecil um Aaron myself and Lynn Ross Lynn Ross is a dear friend of
28:52
Aaron's in mind and we all sat down with Angela another girl who come we find out later that she is a sister but that's
28:58
later down the line but Aaron Lynn and I were going to be you know blood brother and sister same parents same other same
29:04
father but unfortunately before we got a chance to shoot Lynn passed away so we and and we did not want to delete
29:12
you know to to recast her yeah so we wrote the story around my sister in the
29:18
series who passed away reveal well I'm the cousin I'm the cousin but but the the I'm also kind of the the whole show
29:25
there's a lot of really funny things in this very dramatic show but my character definitely is some of the comic relief
29:30
because she'll just say kind of anything yeah it's very very important because you're
29:38
the newscaster on the local news so she gets to bring you I don't know if I could say that
29:47
the thing the thing that I find to me just and I'll end here first of all I'm really excited to be here and
29:53
it's so great to see everybody's face it's so exciting but the thing that I find um most interesting about Mimi at
29:59
this point is that she's not really living a double life but she's living a broadcast journalist version of herself
30:06
when she's working and the other version of herself yeah with her family she's with Celeste and and so there's a sort
30:13
of dichotomy happening there in that sort of through line we sort of we did discover as things go on but right now
30:19
it's better for her to focus all of that real energy on Celeste because then she doesn't have to deal with her own stuff
30:25
yeah so for me I I enjoy that that journey and wherever that's going to take us so BG what is your story where where do
30:33
you fall in this whole right turn I am the therapist initially
30:40
that's what I am initially I am uh I'm supposed to be helping them helping the
30:46
couple Celeste and her Wayward man get it together or not
30:53
but then I end up being one of celeste's closest friends and I help her through
30:59
we help each other through a lot of uh a lot of the things that we face as women
31:04
growing up you know so I get to be the
31:10
good girlfriend just to let you know Bridget was going
31:17
to be studying to do that and so when I approached her about being a therapist we developed the character because she
31:23
was actually getting her license in being like a love doctor so I just wanted to add that wow
31:29
Dr Love yeah so I'm going to bring in Chef Babette
31:36
we we love Chef she's amazing she is amazing Chef what is your Arc what is
31:41
your story in the right turn basically Chef the best
31:47
bet is a client um in real life too
31:53
but I I keep a bed but I think she got a
32:00
little bit more of a spark under but more of a hot mama
32:07
um you know when she gets out that restaurant uh you know you she are trying to always trying to copy Celeste
32:14
you know it's like I want to give me one that man so she's really the woman that's out
32:22
looking for whatever's her to do that's not cooking and maybe there might be
32:28
some handsome guys that's her
32:34
I I have to tell you just listening to you guys talk about your characters and
32:40
about each other it is clear how much you care about each other give us one
32:46
thing what was the best part of being in the right turn who wants to go first so
32:51
go ahead there we go the best part for me was working with uh
32:56
tests and Tara is that you know getting a chance as a as a black actor to to
33:03
play something that was real that was they had they had different levels it
33:09
wasn't just a stereotype it was a character that was a real human being and and I never really had an
33:15
opportunity to do that actually I had been I had stopped acting for like 15 years and Tara called me and uh it was
33:22
like it was like God said like okay this is your opportunity it was great that
33:28
was my favorite part wonderful what was the best part of all of it the best part
33:34
for me and I'm going to just kind of echo what what Mike said
33:39
it's real we get an opportunity to talk about real life and go through the real
33:44
emotions you know just raw of what life is all about and and we're delving into
33:52
an age range that often gets looked over you know or cast aside test said earlier
33:59
out aging I think or aging out you know this is a part of life this is a part of
34:06
real life in real I won't curse stuff happens in this life you know that we
34:12
need to talk about whether it be mental illness whether it's sexual dysfunction whether you know whatever it is
34:18
self-love self-identity all of these things are real and they happen at every age so to really be able to talk about
34:25
it now especially you know they say oh you're older you guys to have you should have everything together by now what we
34:31
do but it we're all works in progress so it's awesome to be able to bring the
34:38
sensuality the sexuality the real realness the story behind this age range
34:44
you know and let everybody knows it's still alive it's still going on and we got it we do have it together so it was
34:51
it's just so positive for me yeah and I'm so grateful so I I want to say these
34:56
two women are some of the hardest working creative artists in the entertainment
35:04
industry and I'm someone who feeds off energy and I just was like hey Tara and
35:10
Tess I wanna you know I want to just come in even when I'm not working I just want to come in and I want to learn the
35:15
business aspect of this industry and they were so gracious enough to allow me
35:21
to come in and and do whatever else you know someone was was was uh absent that
35:28
day I was able to to run sound now they probably had to redo the salad I did but
35:36
just them allowing me the opportunity to come onto this set and learn the the
35:42
other side of this industry is is invaluable is something that I can't
35:48
even put into words how grateful I am just you know to allow me to just to be
35:54
a part of it as an actor but also just allow me to Shadow them and watch them
36:00
in and and watch their temperament as well and how they handle everything that
36:07
they because they put on a gazillion hats and pulled off something that is
36:12
really amazing and I just I take off my hat and show my ball head dude
36:20
to the two of them for just allowing me to grow as an artist I love that
36:26
grateful to you because especially during covet there were times where people couldn't show up and he was
36:31
always just there willing and able and just a pinch hitter in all avenues but I
36:37
do have to mention you forgot to mention how much you came to the set for the food Hallelujah
36:50
is there gonna be any food we'll be there Sylvia what was the best part for you
36:56
there's not a way for me to tell you what the best thing was I've known Tara since I was a child
37:02
and we have worked together since we were little kids who were kids and I've watched her journey
37:09
how can I just start crying um but we were on set one day I'll say this is the best moment
37:15
we were doing a video we're shooting a video and uh all these ladies were at the table we're all
37:22
sitting on them and I was sitting across from chair actually I was when I was sitting across from the dead that day yeah and
37:29
she reached over and she grabbed my hand and she just looked at me and I she's not say a single word
37:36
because for that in that moment we were 14 15 16.
37:42
and I was watching everything it took to get to that moment wow not just for this show but for her
37:50
that that's all I'm gonna say it just gave me chills wow beautiful wow wow thank you
37:58
for sorry to make you cry that bad talk to us
38:05
well I I was at the table then
38:10
and I I really just wanted to share that
38:15
um but been given the opportunity to be a part of this cast is is phenomenal
38:22
energy and in particular that day that you speak of Sylvia
38:28
um every cast member there was just
38:34
unbelievable between the two of you at the table
38:39
everybody understood and everybody felt exactly what the both of you felt but
38:47
then anyway yeah I just to have been given the opportunity with all of these
38:54
all of these beautiful uh Spirits is just in itself
38:59
so I what I didn't say in that moment also and because I I was it was coming
39:05
but I couldn't talk anymore um the two of them everybody has said this
39:11
but you guys the two of them together it's just it's it's it I there's a
39:17
scription the Bible says I am sharpens iron and that's what happens here they they
39:22
they hold each other up they they encourage each other they exhort each
39:27
other they get each other in in check and they just keep moving and they keep moving every time they get to a place
39:33
and somebody goes no no no they go um yeah maybe not that road but this road we're gonna this is gonna happen
39:39
and we and watching the two of them be so positive as a cast member not just as
39:44
a friend but as a cast member that's very encouraging right when you know that the people who were at the Helm of
39:50
the ship are just in luck and they're gonna make sure that you're taking care
39:55
of that the story is taken care of that the show is taken care of and that this thing happens and uh you guys
40:01
individually you are amazing women but together you are uh your threefold chord
40:07
together the two of you and God you know Unstoppable so I wanted to say that so they're bringing that all the way around
40:13
guys this is all about love and the two of you Tara and Tess you have uh shown what it
40:21
means to be to have love for your friends because we tend to only think
40:27
that love is a romantic sexuality no well as I'm listening to all of you the
40:35
the storyline is fabulous um I write romance novels and the characters are of our age and it's
40:42
really important about our stories what said when you said I write romance
40:49
novels we reflecting each other so much of what's out there and it's
40:56
become increasingly so the characters are one-dimensional and
41:01
especially in our age range and when I listen to you Michael and I listen to you Aaron and Sylvia and then your
41:09
personal relationships connect there also the stories that you're telling and
41:15
that you've written and that you've brought are in the process of bringing to life are so important and the reason
41:21
that this works and the reason this got emotional is because they are real yeah and we don't need any more
41:26
one-dimensional crap out there we need this three-dimensional true authentic depth to these characters and the story
41:32
lines and I just applaud all of you I can't wait for it I can't wait to have my popcorn and my wine and watch it on
41:40
the big screen lemon drop martinis that's our signature cocktails
41:48
just like another facet of the diamond talking about aging out our oldest
41:54
character in The Script is uh Carmel ravella McGuire and she's literally like
42:00
87 years young and she's the most amazing she used to live in the shadows
42:06
of very very big people like the head of FedEx and Kentucky Fried Chicken and
42:12
travel around the world following in in these men's Shadows all her life and she's never acted and she's a dear
42:19
friend of mine and she came on to play uh Celeste daughter nutty who's not here
42:25
today Leah Hall um best friend and Mandy Brown does a phenomenal job but I just wanted to say
42:32
we go all the way up to the 80s and she does phenomenal job never acting before and she just thanks us every day thank
42:39
you Tess and Tara for putting us in the show and part of you know I'll go with everyone that we we brought in because
42:45
we had no auditions we didn't we didn't bother we know enough people to be able to pick up the
42:50
phone and call but part of what we wanted to do was people like Joni who said you know Tara I feel like they're
42:56
not letting me back in to do what I love to do you know I'm not getting an opportunity to do what I love to do because this
43:02
industry you know if you don't have a name by now if you don't have a this by now and Joni's had television series
43:08
I've had TV series you've never known Ryan Joan Ryan I'm sorry but she hated herself she literally did it herself
43:14
exactly so so Joan Joan Ryan's character is she
43:21
plays Kathleen Kathleen Bailey and she is a Broadway star I said well we're
43:26
gonna we're gonna have life imitate art have art imitate life you're going to be a Broadway star who's my client I said
43:32
and we're gonna follow your character you know Tess and I talked with it we're going to follow this character as she's
43:37
on her journey on her Stars her stardom Journey so it's really kind of giving people an opportunity to just live out
43:45
life and have a good time and if the character speaks to you or you know there's another character we can't tell
43:51
you where she is but she's she's in the end we have a multicultural cast everything from everyone but she's an
43:57
Indian character and she says you know most of the time they wanted to play doctors doctors and something else
44:02
something else but so and of course we needed a doctor but but after we sat
44:08
with her and we asked her what she wanted we put a little twist there that no one will know for a minute but you
44:14
know she got a chance to play and do an explore and have some fun so that's what
44:20
meant more to me that yeah you know giving friends and you know opportunity because a lot of us have re-directed and
44:28
redesigned our careers because you know they're not opening up the doors for us so now we're producers we're writers
44:33
we're this we're singers with that but our love is acting so we get to you know
44:39
in this thing you get to come back and do a little bit of acting you know that's that's whatever that's another another approach to love yes self-love
44:48
it's honoring you know maybe you took a different road because things were not available to you but that didn't change
44:53
your inherent love and your passion for your craft and your art we're going to
44:59
give everyone a way to uh text which I love because it's technology
45:04
um text to 424-404-1980 and what will happen Tara
45:10
and Tess when they texted that number you can go they'll get an autoresponder walking in them to the community and
45:17
then we get direct access so it's really about reaching out to us engaging with the community being able to do follow
45:24
the QR codes to get the products out of the shopping cart they'll get up-to-date news of what's going to happen when
45:30
we're launching what channels to find us on and really build the the watch parties with the lemon drop martinis so
45:37
we're gonna have a lot of fun party yeah we're going to do the watch party
45:43
I put a QR code up here because you know you were talking about QR codes but for those of you who don't want to have to
45:49
write down these phone numbers just take your phone out scan the QR code it'll take you right over to the text yay yay
45:59
and if you want to follow the right turn on social you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram at the right turn
46:06
series any last minute thoughts um this is so exciting guys I'm just so thrilled for
46:12
you I I'm so thrilled to joined and I today um because it's a month of love and you
46:18
know we we'd like to have as many people loving each other all of you where are we going to be able
46:26
to watch this last thing where can we watch this and I know that they can text but where are some of the places right
46:31
off the bat that we can tell you yeah we'll be we're we're splattering it all over everywhere all the avods all the
46:37
apods um we will be syndicated in Florida we're working on some other syndications with 2B crackle BC so
46:45
there's yeah and they're more still coming in we're just closing deals as we speak so we just want to get it make it
46:51
accessible to everyone to be able to with a smart TV or whatever to be able to turn it on and watch it yeah
47:02
you are kept informed Mel and I we love the fact that you joined us today thank
47:08
you for the right turn cast members we are thrilled Happy Valentine's Day to all of you thank you all thank you and
47:16
we'll see ya at the right turn thank you now breathtaking the the love
47:22
and the relationships first of all as long time friends and incredible professionals and then I really love
47:30
Tess and Tara you know they weren't getting it so they made it and I yeah
47:35
nothing spoke to me deeper than that mission and what they've accomplished especially when they talk about the seat
47:41
at the table we hear about that all the time right that we don't have a seat at the table so I just love their attitude
47:47
we just made I know I love all of it yeah and I can't wait for the right turn I'm really
47:54
excited for them yeah I am too what a great group of people yeah we want to remind people to check in the show notes
48:00
we have put a link to some of our favorite barrelless products check it out and we also have because Mel is so
48:07
good at this she has loved this month yeah a lot full of love the musical love
48:12
songs a lot of love songs so check it out at Uncorked playlist Dot online we
48:18
know that you're gonna like it this isn't ever evolving Journey that we on don't you think I mean it just keeps
48:24
evolving it's beautiful and I think we keep you know I mean to use a maybe
48:30
overplayed analogy where the butterfly and the Cocoon and if you just allow yourself to keep growing and expanding
48:37
who you become and and then by virtue of that who you attract and bring with you
48:42
on your journey is the most beautiful gift absolutely and we thank all of you
48:47
for being on the journey with us so absolutely we're gonna see you all next month
48:53
take care ciao [Music] it's your time make the most of it
