0:07
turn her life around to emerge as
0:09
Atlanta's true pioneering pure sculp
0:12
specialist and Trailblazer we will talk
0:15
about this and more with Wellness
0:17
practitioner Kayla Evans stay tuned
0:28
back hello every everyone hey Kayla
0:31
welcome to the show Hi how are you
0:34
thanks for having me I am great and you
0:37
look great you have the most amazing
0:39
smile I just have to say that kind words
0:42
I am thrilled to have you on the show
0:45
and we're gonna start like I always do I
0:46
want to talk about your journey you know
0:48
I I kind of said at the very beginning I
0:50
didn't just kind of say I just said a
0:52
two-time convicted felon so let's talk
0:54
about that and how you changed your life
0:57
around well um I used to not want to
1:00
talk about it but I realize um my
1:04
message is in my mess um I can't give
1:07
you a story of poverty coming up lack I
1:11
was a spoiled kid my mother told me no
1:15
and I had a good friend Asian and one
1:19
was uh Caucasian and they taught me uh
1:25
fraud and I did a lot of white collar
1:29
crime I also eventually worked into
1:33
accounting so it just made sense for
1:36
what I was trying to do now when I
1:38
started I was a young teen mother and um
1:42
just rebellious just hardhead you know I
1:43
had a great mom who did the best I had a
1:46
good great education but I just I chose
1:48
another route um my son suffered in my
1:53
opinion he's 31 now great guy um but I
1:57
was lost angry father wasn't n present
2:00
so um want it to people
2:06
um yeah so I like that that life yeah
2:10
I decided I wanted to change a horrible
2:14
divorce terrible divorce and uh I wanted
2:19
to find something else to do now mind
2:21
you as I was going on this transition I
2:24
was on the run because I was looking at
2:26
a 45 year prison sentence I'm just wow
2:30
that's all I want to say right now and I
2:31
figured I figured well you know
2:36
me at least doing something I'm doing
2:43
and I found massage I went to the
2:48
massage and uh I didn't pay attention I
2:51
was just looking for something easy
2:53
quick to do I didn't realize that it
2:55
specialize in mind body and spirit and I
3:00
healed in so many areas I learned about
3:03
my biases too first day a class there
3:05
was some very interesting people that I
3:06
did not want them to touch me I was like
3:08
they're weird and I don't want them to
3:09
touch me right now these are some of the
3:12
most amazing friends that I have so
3:15
that's how that's how that happened
3:18
before you continue if you're just
3:19
tuning in we're talking to Kayla Evans
3:21
you have a question for her whether it's
3:23
live or on replay make sure you make a
3:27
oh look at this so from Tiffany thank
3:30
you for being open and honest I see your
3:31
growth thank you so much we appreciate
3:34
you so much and we have a couple of of
3:35
comments let's just put them up uh Kanda
3:38
hello ladies hello back thank you for
3:39
tuning in continue I'm sorry Kayla
3:43
that's okay so I um massage opened me up
3:50
modalities and I really wanted to tap
3:54
into Asian studies so a lot of my
3:57
expertise is in you know Tai yoga a lot
4:00
of uh Eastern body work and I love it um
4:06
I started to get into body I wanted to
4:09
get into the Aesthetics I start seeing
4:10
honestly that was that was kind of a
4:12
popping thing here in Atlanta but as I
4:15
know about the human body everything
4:17
that looks good is not always healthy or
4:20
beneficial to the body right and I'm not
4:23
one always jump on bandwagons and I
4:26
started seeing some things that I just
4:28
didn't feel were correct for the body so
4:30
I started looking for holistic um
4:34
during covid I found you know you were
4:37
home studying and there was a lady I
4:39
used to watch her do some things I found
4:42
out about the pure sculp pure sculp by
4:44
the amazing uh the founder is Iris
4:46
botero if I'm saying iris's last name
4:49
correctly and I flew out to Utah and had
4:53
the one onone training with them and
4:56
pure sculpt is a uh it's clay clay herbs
5:01
and oils in a frozen state so it's not
5:03
really Pure Ice you can't put ice on the
5:05
body it'll burn just know that guys
5:07
don't put ice on the body it will burn
5:09
you um and it's in its frozen State and
5:12
what it does it mold Contours it it uh
5:18
um it helps convert fat into energy
5:21
through thermogenesis so you're freezing
5:22
honestly it's cold it's very cold it's
5:24
like jumping in a cold pool um and you
5:26
get immediate results you also get an
5:28
exfoliation toxification it helps with
5:31
inflammation and it helps Contours the
5:33
body now as I'm on this Contour run
5:36
learning about different ways to help
5:38
women be the best version of themselves
5:41
um I then learned about uh ma therapia
5:45
would ther be both of these concepts are
5:47
from Mexico and I learned the tools to
5:52
contour and sculpt the body and then I
5:55
was like wow so I'm an instructor for
5:57
both well instructor for both I was the
5:59
first pure sculpt specialist in Atlanta
6:01
now we have a bunch of them right but um
6:04
but you're a Trailblazer you're a
6:06
Trailblazer and you did things thank you
6:08
well no but it's true I mean you did
6:10
things before others did um and I'm sure
6:12
from your perspective it's like okay I
6:14
was there first we're what are all these
6:16
other people doing right now
6:21
right you said that miss Karen not I
6:23
know I did I know I did because I kind
6:25
of resemble that so you say a lot of
6:27
different modalities I know you also
6:30
yoga yes the tie TI body work yes
6:36
um 7 to 10 day protocol now the thing is
6:40
I um I'm a cpt2 I intended to go on to
6:44
do the instructor Georgia stopped that a
6:46
lot of holistic Body Work Georgia does
6:49
not recognize it far as cus so you know
6:53
I had about 800 and I was like well wait
6:55
a minute what do you mean so um if I do
6:59
the true thae work I have to step out of
7:05
massage because in thae I can talk to
7:09
you about diet nutrition you understand
7:12
under the scope of that that's not what
7:14
my license in the state of Georgia
7:16
covers so I have to be you know careful
7:19
with that so certain clients Case by
7:22
case I'll do that but it's like seven to
7:24
10 day protocol where redo um the
7:26
systems in the body and it's amazing
7:30
what do you what why do you like this
7:33
why do you like this so much I see your
7:35
light your your face literally lights up
7:37
as you're talking about it what is it
7:39
about this that you're changing bodies
7:41
changing lives uh changing attitudes
7:44
what is it about this why do you do
7:47
this I love what I do first of all
7:53
I I know what it did for me and a lot of
7:57
people don't understand there are
8:00
muscles um people are crying out
8:02
silently from body pain Mobility
8:05
stiffness their diet mindset you know
8:08
what I mean the the the toxicity in life
8:12
sometimes you know to me life is simple
8:14
we complicate it and it's like for the
8:18
massage you know I'm really really known
8:20
you know for massage just a lot I'm
8:22
blessed ACC according to you have the
8:24
best hands that she's ever
8:26
felt thank you dear I appreciate
8:31
um the body talks to me it's like a
8:34
audible conversation that we're having
8:36
when I put my hands on the body it's
8:37
just a welcoming you know what I mean
8:40
some people don't understand it's like
8:42
God gave me a gift when someone lays on
8:45
my table it's like an a an altar
8:48
sacrifice honestly you don't know what
8:50
I'm GNA do you got you have people out
8:51
here I mean I could be crazy and do some
8:54
really weird things but at that moment I
8:56
appreciate I have you from anywhere from
8:58
60 to maybe two hours or maybe you want
9:01
to spend you know a date with
9:04
me that I I appreciate that because I
9:06
don't know what you're dealing with I've
9:09
had situations where I've had husbands
9:11
tell me thank you thank you so much you
9:14
know my wife's cheating on me and I
9:15
thought about offing her I mean
9:17
literally and that me like whoa I was
9:19
like wait a minute do you want to talk
9:21
he came to see me I'll never forget it
9:22
he came to see me nice young nice guy
9:24
met his wife too and she was very happy
9:26
like thank you he told me what happened
9:28
thank you um you know like it's it's on
9:31
that level like a real cellular level I
9:34
also now um do the Tibetan sound bowls
9:38
and with these bowls I am
9:41
massaging the I'm I am Mass I'm relaxing
9:44
the mind and massaging the cells you
9:47
know what I mean like I'm really on that
9:49
deeper level because I just I just feel
9:51
we're we're just bald up with so much is
9:54
that a connect is that the same thing as
9:56
the binaural beats absolutely yeah
9:59
absolutely which is if you have if those
10:01
of our viewers who are watching now
10:03
replay whenever if you've never
10:05
experienced this check it out talk to
10:07
Kayla about this you know also go on
10:09
YouTube I mean there's all these things
10:10
out there the binaural beats and
10:12
different uh megahertz right and it
10:14
allows you to you know sleep it's
10:17
amazing I I I use it for Sleep actually
10:20
so I'm fascinated by the fact that
10:23
also the for the sound and the
10:25
everything you incorporate Mind Body and
10:29
soul that's what it sounds like yes yes
10:36
so where have you been or where do you
10:40
want to go that is inspiring you or
10:42
motivating you right now in your life
10:51
been mentally I have been to the pits of
10:54
Hell in my opinion and I fought my way
10:56
back yeah so I know there is another
11:00
um there is power in the tongue what we
11:04
speak a lots of times we speak so much
11:07
over our lives and we just don't
11:09
understand just just a simple
11:10
conversation or what we say to ourselves
11:15
body has trauma we've had traumas from
11:18
when we were kids we and sometimes you
11:21
need to just release it I learned EFT
11:23
emotional frequency technique you know
11:26
tapping tapping really just tapping into
11:29
the body asking it to forgive you asking
11:32
it to line up with you and people
11:35
sometimes you know think I'm just I'm
11:37
nuts no I'm I can hear them say woo woo
11:39
it's woo woo it's it's it's stuff that
11:41
doesn't make I don't think it's so much
11:43
to think you're crazy it's that they
11:45
don't get it it's not in their world
11:47
it's not something that they've ever
11:48
done and so for most of us if we don't
11:52
understand it the first thing we do is
11:53
we back up and fear absolutely
11:56
absolutely that's that's a bunch of you
11:57
know hogwash anyone who then steps into
12:00
it and starts to learn about it realizes
12:02
it's not it's not it's your teacher it's
12:04
the person who's actually going to show
12:05
you how this is not and you're it you
12:08
are it um thank you and I'm not saying
12:12
this literally not to compliment you but
12:14
it's fasc I'm just listening to you talk
12:16
about all the different modalities you
12:18
didn't just stay with one you you have
12:20
explored and I my guess is you're
12:22
continuing to explore the different so
12:25
what's next I mean what what are you
12:27
looking at that might you add to your
12:28
portfolio of services well I've been
12:32
procrastinating for quite some time
12:36
teaching I need to get you know of
12:39
course the digital products there was a
12:41
lot of things I know I should have done
12:43
but it just wasn't the time yeah I don't
12:47
beat myself up I just know you know you
12:49
could be a lot further but this is a
12:52
choice you make this is why this is
12:54
this um I want to the fall I will be um
12:58
starting Retreats the goal is to start
13:02
Rica uh I really I really I I want to
13:06
tap into teaching couples how to care
13:09
another um and like I said I I
13:12
definitely want to attract uh a a star
13:17
team because what I'm seeing now is not
13:22
body work is just forgive or take sorry
13:26
to say soft porn and that's not that's
13:29
not what we do that's not what I do and
13:32
I want people to take it seriously
13:34
because I've had every now and then you
13:36
know you have someone uh that they're
13:40
looking for something that I do not
13:42
offer and won't offer as well as you
13:45
have some people that are afraid of
13:46
touch right and I with those individuals
13:50
I just ask can we just start with the
13:51
hands you use them all the time and some
13:54
people wow I never because we're so
13:56
guarded you know what I mean and a lot
13:59
of people don't want to tap into why are
14:01
we guarded why why why are you what is
14:04
that so you know I I really just you
14:07
know and like the little people we need
14:09
to start with the little people because
14:10
they will eventually be adults I work on
14:13
my grandchildren they're five and eight
14:17
and they love massage but I do have to
14:20
be um mindful I had a client that um
14:25
sent her daughter in to have her
14:27
serviced and she just sent her in the
14:31
like no preparation um go none none and
14:35
I was like sweetie have you ever had him
14:37
with snow ma'am sweet little girl and
14:39
that's when I went in Mommy and Granny
14:41
mode sweetheart no one is supposed to
14:43
touch you above here you know or below
14:45
there and I just played in her hair
14:46
rubbed her feet and her arms and I you
14:48
know I told her mother I hope I didn't
14:50
overstep but uh and it made me go home
14:53
and think about that with my daughter at
14:55
the time she's 23 now she was like 15 m
14:58
and I asked her if someone would you get
15:01
naked and she said yes Mom I would
15:03
because you know you're Drake properly
15:05
but that was a teaching moment for me no
15:07
you don't know no you know what I mean
15:09
so that's something that I with my
15:11
grandsons keep your shorts on you know
15:13
what I mean just little things like that
15:15
Helena um just said hello to you hello
15:18
back than that's Helena hey that's my
15:20
that's one of my clients actually
15:22
amazing lady if you're just tuning in we
15:25
are talking to Kayla Evans you have a
15:26
question for her or a comment or just
15:28
want to say hi let us know where you're
15:30
tuning in from whether it's live or on
15:32
replay we want to know where you are
15:35
tuning in from Kayla how do you want to
15:37
be remembered at the end of the
15:40
day I tell my kids all the time in the
15:44
event something happens and I go before
15:50
know I want people to remember that I
15:52
did the absolute best to become the best
15:55
version of myself for my clients that
15:58
whatever I want to attempt to
16:02
do I'm going to do it right you know I
16:05
have a friend that owns a brand uh do it
16:08
ugly and meaning no matter what just do
16:10
it just do it just do it just do it so I
16:18
um the goal for me is to
16:22
become I want to be I would like to
16:25
become the second female
16:29
minority owned festar Forbes facility
16:34
it's one Sheila Johnson Bob Johnson's um
16:38
ex-wife she owns the salamander Resort
16:41
and I'd like that's a big goal I want to
16:44
compete with some of the elite locations
16:47
I've worked at that's what I want and I
16:50
I I want to build is the house of Kayla
16:53
and I want people to be able to Journey
16:56
with me the children can grow to high
16:58
school college and bring their families
17:00
I want to be able to have that wholeness
17:03
Wellness experience for
17:05
people be a global brand there's no
17:08
question you're going to do that I mean
17:09
look look how far you've come and you
17:11
continue to go and um you you truly are
17:14
somebody that we can look up to because
17:18
you represent that you can change your
17:20
life absolutely change your mindset
17:23
change your strategy change your life
17:25
change your strategy change your life
17:27
exactly um It's actually an honor to
17:29
meet you and to be talking with you we
17:31
kind of met through something else and
17:33
and it turn this but it really is an
17:35
honor to meet you and to see what you're
17:37
doing um and how far that you've come I
17:39
want to let people know how they can uh
17:42
contact you and actually get to know
17:43
more about you if you're in the Atlanta
17:45
area or if not if maybe you're visiting
17:47
um your website is ATL Bodyworks co.com
17:51
check it out what are they going to find
17:53
there can they make an appointment with
17:54
you there or absolutely they can make it
17:56
yes yes they can send me a message or
17:58
you know they can reach me on social
18:00
sites um so I'm going to put the social
18:03
up right now it's ATL bodyw works as a
18:05

18:10

18:13

18:15
it's really great um and so you're kind
18:17
of like I like to say all over the place
18:19
which is awesome um because you are
18:21
reaching people all over the place any
18:24
last thoughts you'd like to share with
18:26
our audience and viewers whether again
18:29
you're here live or in replay what are
18:31
your thoughts anything that you have not
18:33
said that you want to
18:35
share there as I said before there are
18:38
em there are emotions in the muscles I
18:41
want you to really hydrate and sit and
18:44
sit and become one with your body you
18:47
would be amazed how amazing the human
18:50
body is healing can really take place in
18:53
the mind and the body if you feed it the
18:58
um massage is not a luxury it's a
19:02
necessity everyone I believe needs a
19:05
massage every everyone um just needs to
19:10
heal and be kind to one
19:12
another that's really kind of
19:15
bit and as I say to everyone else stop
19:18
playing and come get these hands yeah
19:21
and you have some fans here that are you
19:23
