0:00
hey everyone carrying glass are here and
0:02
I'm standing at the Lorenzi estate
0:04
Vineyards and Winery I said that right
0:06
right with Brenda Lorenzi she is the
0:09
owner along with her husband on the
0:11
Renzi all right and we're standing in
0:21
the tasting room right now so Brenda
0:23
tell me a little bit about how how this
0:25
whole winery vineyard came to be so
0:28
Donna and I started making wine at our
0:30
home 29 years ago as a hobby and then in
0:34
2011 this property became available so
0:36
that purchased it it was 16 years with
0:40
five acres plan right so we planted it
0:42
out to the 15 acres and then built an
0:44
open the taste room in 2011 and what I
0:47
like about this show right here is this
0:50
is the tree that was here when we
0:51
started the vineyard and there was five
0:53
acres planted behind there and then
0:58
so the tasting room and we could do a
1:00
little skin yeah we're gonna actually
1:01
walk through the tasting room right yeah
1:03
so the tasting room was opened in 2003
1:05
I'm gonna turn the camera around hold on
1:06
Fitz turn this around and I'm gonna do a
1:09
circular of the tasting room right now
1:11
okay so that a seaman was opened in 2013
1:14
and we did the first harvest of the full
1:20
and this is the original tasting room
1:22
that we built and then outside we had
1:25
some seating area but I just recently
1:26
expanded it's beautiful out there we're
1:29
just sitting out there so they're going
1:30
back to this picture and then we're
1:33
gonna walk outside and you all of the
1:35
beautiful gardens that we put in awesome
1:37
okay so guys come along with me as we go
1:41
outside and see this amazing amazing
1:44
view so we've got it we got tables up
1:48
there right so we have three patio areas
1:50
this is the upper patio uh-huh and then
1:52
we have a newly expanded Members Only
1:55
Terrace and I know you have musicians
2:00
and music going on so now we've added
2:02
music every Sunday and then we have this
2:05
back patio area where we can see up to
2:07
50 people but we do yeah one of the
2:10
things we do is outside tasting so you
2:12
can do a tasting or glass of wine or
2:14
bottle of wine and enjoy the outside
2:16
area of course in the fall that's
2:18
exceptionally beautiful I can only a med
2:20
and you do food here you do you actual
2:22
know you can bring your own you can
2:23
bring food but you do with a wine club
2:25
though you have wine club dinners wine
2:27
club dinner so guys we just joined
2:29
because we've been desperately looking
2:31
for a place to be in Napa that we're not
2:34
in Napa anymore but now we're here
2:36
bacala we're Napa quality actually your
2:39
wines how many of your wines are have
2:41
been graded over 90 49 now 49 wines and
2:46
in grade five years we've been open that
2:48
I mean that's that's pretty impressive
2:50
very say so myself and guys what's even
2:53
more impressive about Brenda and and
2:55
Dawn is that they didn't start here in
2:57
the winery tell us a bit about the
2:58
magazines that you have going right so
3:00
we published Inland Empire magazine
3:02
which is one of five regionals in
3:03
Southern California and there's la
3:05
Orange Coast San Diego Palm Springs LIFE
3:08
and right in London Pyrrha magazine
3:09
and then along the way my husband became
3:11
a really good cook and I he said if I
3:13
ever won a restaurant don't let me I
3:14
said do what we do is just publishing
3:16
that we launched taste of Italia
3:18
magazine which is a recipe oriented
3:20
cooking magazine distributed nationwide
3:21
in Canada and it's gorgeous I just saw a
3:23
copy of it it had an amazing steak on
3:25
the front but I think one of the reasons
3:27
he's such a good winemaker there's two
3:28
reasons number one he so the one of the
3:31
reasons he's such a good wine makers is
3:33
an exceptionally good palate and he can
3:35
you know fine-tune those recipes
3:37
exceptionally well and so as a winemaker
3:40
it's the same thing right hasty
3:41
righteous you're making blends you're
3:43
figuring out exactly what point you want
3:45
to pull something off of those but then
3:47
also he's quality yarn and so we drop
3:49
fruit we picked late we bottle aged
3:52
we've just finished releasing our 14s
3:54
and now we're going to start the 15s
3:56
so there is idle aging all of this time
3:58
well the wines be wise just tasty the
4:00
wine is tasty so back to the grapes
4:02
right now you look around and you see
4:05
all of the purple grapes everything's
4:06
turning purple right now and then we're
4:09
going to start harvest we'll harvest the
4:11
Chardonnay first we'll do that in about
4:13
a week and then by the end of October
4:15
all of the red grapes will be picked and
4:18
this is a beautiful time of year to be
4:19
here to see all of this but then after
4:21
in the fall the leaves start turning red
4:24
and yellow and orange and the fall is
4:28
and now those leaves will stay on
4:29
through November December when we get a
4:32
nice big wind and then it'll blow them
4:34
off and then we'll have that little
4:35
doormat time until March again when we
4:36
get our first first green leaf pops hey
4:39
Ricky I see we have some people on we
4:41
have Ricky on we have Dahlia on we have
4:43
Marat on Joey's on HOA and we've got
4:46
Bruce Benton on hey guys Mary Riley I'm
4:49
so glad you're tuning in guys don't just
4:52
tune in next time you need to take a
4:53
vacation not need to take next time you
4:55
want to take a vacation you should come
4:57
out to the Temecula Valley and you want
4:59
